recently i’ve fallen in love with rap music. i grew up listening to punk and only punk for years, then i expanded my horizons to include other types of rock, even folk and country, but it was always guitar based music. within the past few years i’ve started to listen to everything i used to hate, electronic and rap music. i used toa always say shit like, “that’s not music.” i’ve definitely changed my mind since then. it’s music if it’s sounds good. whatever. anyway, allen ginsberg, surprisingly, creates one of the best defenses of rap music in this interview conducted in 1994.
